Why would a Manchester Mailing address be worth it to your business? Remote business mailing addresses are becoming more and more widespread throughout the UK. With the ever-growing group of entrepreneurs, it is easy to see why.  If you look at Business Tracker, there have already been over 277,000 businesses started so far this year. Using the address of another large company as your address gives many advantages. Not least that you can be seen to have an office in a location without having to invest in costly assets.

It’s now easier than ever to create a virtual office which provides a customer-facing central business address in a great location at a reasonable cost.  It gives you options to work from home, dip into an international talent pool, and ensure correspondence hits a central point, while you work from that location or home.

Mailing Address -The benefits of a business address

It’s hard to build a business’s credibility when customers see the address is Brown Cow Lane or Hospital Close.  People are more likely to have confidence in a company which has a recognisable business address. When starting a business paying rent of any kind can seem out of reach but especially in a city centre.  However, to get any sales in at all you might need to be in the city centre.  A mailing address gives you that kudos.

Mailing address for building a better image

Business is about building a brand and having the right image in your marketplace.  Having a central Manchester business address will make sure that your image is more than a logo.

Mailing Address for Minimising cost

Most new businesses will tell you that rent is the most prohibitive part of their business.  Once you have committed to this physical space, you must pay.  Often you are not aware of the sales you are going to receive to support this.  Until that day comes when you have money in the bank and can locate to an office, a mailing address gives you the location with none of the costs.

Mailing Address for Flexibility for contracts and staff

If you choose a mailing address in a shared work-space, you also can be physically at your address from time to time.  The advantage is that you can meet employees and customers for a minimal charge.

Mailing Address for keeping your home address private

Many people do not want to advertise their home address to their business contacts.  There are many risks of doing this, not least a customer or a supplier turning up at your door unexpected.  It is also not appropriate for some business to be receiving mailing, parcels and company information at a home address.  If you use Google as a business location, it also puts a picture of your address on the page.  Do you want your house shown?

Mailing Address for Google Search

One of the key reasons many people want an address in a central location is so that their business can be seen to have offices in this area.  It is possible to have a mailing address in any and as many places as you like.  If you do this, it helps to make your business look more prominent and to add to searches engine optimisation and the number of prospective customers that can find you.  At Workplace mailing address memberships start at £25 per month and as it is also a coworking space, you can also work from our offices when you need.

Workplace - 5 Tips to help you get over a bad day at work.

Workplace members help each other to celebrate to good times and get through the bad times.  No matter how much you love your job, there is always going to be a time when you put your head in your hands and sigh deeply!  At these points, the motivation to rush out and drink heavily, eat chocolate or kick the cat is huge.  However, we all know that while these might help us momentarily to get rid of our frustration, they are not the ways to get over your bad day.

We asked our Workplace family for their number one tip when things are just not going the way you would like them to.

Workplace Tip # 1 Breathe in fresh air

Walk, get out of the office and walk away from your troubles. Many said they also put headphones on and listen to music.  The temptation is head down, scrunched shoulders and small, fast steps.  The big tip here is to force your head in the air, look where you are going, breathe deeply and take in your surroundings.  If you walk past people, make some eye contact and smile, even say hello if it is appropriate.  Changing your body language and trying to connect with the world around you, be it people, the trees, the sea or whatever you see when you are walking will help you to clear your head, think and feel better.

Workplace Tip # 2 Have THE conversation

Address what has caused your bad day. Don’t brush the situation under the carpet; address it.  As Brene Brown tells us in her fantastic TED talk, have the courage to be vulnerable.  Open up and talk the situation through no matter how hard this is.

Workplace Tip #3 Ignore the voice in your head

Don’t let the voice in your head make it worse. You can go from “that didn’t go well” to “everything is a disaster, I am useless, everyone (even the cat) hates me” in one conversation in your head.  Once you have identified the problem, change your mindset, learn, plan for the future and move on.

Workplace Tip #4 Look after your well being

Self-Care, the healthy way – don’t confuse this with self-sabotage. Hitting the town is not what the idea.  Maybe go for a run, get an early night, say something positive to another person.  Laughing is also a proper release.  Watch a funny film or video clip or look through your pictures at all the good times you have had and kind people that love you.  Do whatever it is that makes you feel good and value yourself.

Workplace Tip #5 Let off steam

Vent and rant – If you have a good friend or colleague who won’t turn what you say into a pity party, then call them. Choose a friend who will mostly listen to you and not say very much.  Verbalising what has happened to someone not involved is often a great way to rationalise the situation. Be careful here to choose the right person.  You don’t want at this point for someone to say… “you think you are having a bad day, that is nothing you will never guess what my day has been like….!”

These are just five tips that the Workplace members came up with that they use to help them get through the tough times.
