General Questions

How can I join?

To join as a hot desk, business lounge or corporate member you can just turn up and register with us on your first day, although we do recommend you call or email first if you know when you are coming so we can make sure we are free to show you around. To rent an office please telephone or drop a note through our contact form and we shall be in touch ASAP to discuss your requirements and book a showround.

Do I have to show my membership card each time I visit?

Yes as it also acts as your access key.

Can I print or photocopy? How much is it?

You can print and scan directly to our machine. As a member, we include up to 50 copies a month and after that it is 5p for a black and white copy and 10p for a colour copy. You can pay £10 a month for up to 5000 black and white copies or 2,500 colour copies.

Is there anywhere to store my bike?

Of course – we have use of the bike storage, showers and lockers in the basement of the building. For security, you’ll need a pass key which we will provide for you free of charge.

What are the opening times?

Hotdesks and Business Lounge are open 6am- 10pm. Dedicated desks and offices are 24/7 you just need to Just us know if you need access out of regular business hours so we can let security know not to lock you in! Our office is manned between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

Hot Desking

What if I am a member but the hot desk area is full?

On the rare occasion this may happen we can not guarantee a particular desk or space for our hot desk members. This is the service we provide for our dedicated desk members. You are welcome to utilise our business lounge for casual working or ask one of our team re: dedicated desk membership.

How does the 12-day pass work?

You can use your 12 day pass on any 12 days in a calendar month. Unused days cannot be held over or transferred to other months.

What is the difference between a hot desk and a dedicated desk?

With a hot desk membership you can just grab a seat and work anywhere within the hot desk and business lounge area. Dedicated desks give you a dedicated space which is all your own with a locker.

What about when I need a meeting room?

You can book these at our concierge. We book meeting rooms of all sizes for morning or afternoon slots. Members receive a 20% discount on the cost of room hire.

Offices

Will I have to sign a contract?

One of our major benefits it that we don’t believe in you needing to sign for long term contracts.

For private offices a one months rent security deposit is required and all rent is collected one month in advance. All payments are for a full calendar month so if you join us on 14th August you will be required to pay a months security deposit and six weeks advance rent to take you to the end of September. Your membership will then cease on 30th September. However if you wish to continue your membership you will be required to pay for Octobers membership by 25th August and then the 25th of every proceeding month to ensure that your membership continues. If your membership is not paid by this date we will actively sell your space for occupation the day after your membership expires.

Can I have my post directed here?

Yes! as a member you can use our address and we will do post runs so if you need anything posting just let us know.

You can also take a membership which is just a postal address for £49 per month plus the cost of forwarding post and parcels or £59 a month to have this service plus your registered address here.

Meeting Rooms

Can I book for a full day?

You can book these at our concierge. We book meeting rooms of all sizes for morning or afternoon slots.

Can I order food?

We can provide catering for meeting provided we have 24 hours notice of your requirements. There is also a variety of cafés available just outside the building along Oxford road.

How many people can you accomodate?

We have rooms from 2 people interviews to 40 people theatre style and 120 for evening and weekend business events.

Is wi-fi and presentation equipment included?

Yes, included is wi-fi access, refreshments and presentation equipment along with any adaptor you may need. Adaptors are available to borrow from the reception.

Corporate Membership

How many of our staff can use Workplace?

As many as you would like, this is the advantage of our corporate membership package. We ask that no more than 4 people at a time please and if you do have more to book a meeting room at the appropriate charge.

Can we bring guests?

You may bring up to 3 guests into the business lounge for up to a two hour period. For meeting rooms as many as people as you wish may use the meeting room whilst you have this booked.
